Introduction
I have always been interested in the matter of slaves and African American's
fighting in the civil war. I believe that they were imperical to the
contributions of the Union in the war. By simply looking at photos
you can find that simply the numbers that contributed were enough to
bring a pivitol service to the Union. There is no argument to the fact
that African American's offered brave and significant service to aide the
war that had so much influence on them as a culture.
I choose this photograph to represent the heavy numbers of African
American's in the picture. I also found this interesting because this
was taken at Bull Run, a place I have visited many times.
